Karen Pitts Fitchett
Lilibet Creations, LLC was started in July 2010 by Karen as a small business venture to publish and sell her dad's (Congressman Joe Pitts) books and art. Joe has written many books over the years, starting with books for his kids when he was away at war in the 60s. He continued to write books for adults as well as for his grandkids over the years. He also has painted for many years and has quite a collection of art.
The first book that Karen decided to publish was "How Stubby Lost His Tail"...it was a book Joe wrote for his grandkids, Tommy, Tait, Hannah and Joseph. Joe got the idea for the story from an actual chipmunk with a stubby tail that lived under the walk at his home in PA. A lot of the places in the story are actual places at his home in PA, so the grandkids have actually played among the rhododendron and ferns and have seen the walk where the chipmunks live. Look for more books in the series to come out in the future.
Karen's sister (Carol Pitts Offutt) is also an artist and has painted for many years, so Lilibet Creations is a family library and art gallery, with more books and art to come in the future.
